House tour..

The other night Kevin and I had just gotten the kids to bed and I was leaving for work. Caleb called for Kevin to come to his room and asked Kevin to get him something, but Kevin told Caleb he didn't know where it is. So Caleb says...

"Dad you don't seem to know where anything is in this house, so tomorrow at 6:30pm I am going to give you a tour of our house!"

Too funny, we're still laughing! :)

Caleb's song...

Today I was in Caleb's room putting away his clean clothes and trying to clean it up a little. I came across his clipboard that he has had since he was little. Usually attached to it I find artwork, building "plans", letters, and other doodles . But today attached to it was a piece of paper with this on it...

Song
Love God with all your hert
from the secend you were born to
the minute you are in heaven.

What a treasure to find. This is our prayer for each of our boys. Caleb keep writing these songs from your heart and following God. He has such big and wonderful plans for you! We Love you buddy!!

Ready for SPRING...

The driveway and sidewalks are clear...the sun is shining...time for BIKE rides!!

Our boys do love Winter, but they are ready to pack away their sleds and snowboards.
Levi LOVES riding his new "potty training reward" BIKE!!
(We are SO happy he is finally potty trained!)

For Christmas we gave Caleb and Ethan "pegs" for their bikes, so they are having fun trying them out!

INDOOR SPORTS

Caleb has been keeping busy this winter playing INDOOR sports...

He did a Basketball camp through his school on Saturday mornings.

He also has been playing Indoor Soccer. This is Caleb's second year of playing on a team with a bunch of friends from school...go White Lightning!!

Kevin helped coach the team with some other parents as well. It sure is a great group of boys!

We have really enjoyed watching Caleb play and it keeps all of us on the go during these long, cold, and snowy days! However we are all looking forward to Spring when we can play Basketball and Soccer OUTSIDE!!

3 year check-up...

Levi went in today for his 3 year check-up.
As always when we get home I love to look up what
Caleb's and Ethan's weight and height were at 3 years...

Levi: 39.6lbs. and 40 1/2 inches tall

Caleb: 40.5lbs. and 39 1/2 inches tall

Ethan: 32.6lbs. and 39 inches tall
Last month we were in to see the doctor for Levi's final check-up for his
broken arm. The nurse said today that Levi grew 1 1/4 inches since then, wow!!
We sure are thankful for each of our healthy growing boys!!

Pretzel time...

Caleb, Ethan, and Levi all love to help out in the kitchen.

One of their favorite things to make is Pretzels!

It's always fun to roll huge, long "snakes".

The hardest part is waiting...

but before you know it they are ready to eat!

The recipe makes a bunch, so if ever you want a pretzel come on over!

"you called names"

Right now Levi is real big into letting us know if he hears someone say something "naughty". Yet at the same time he himself is real quick to say something "naughty" to someone (his brothers) if they make him mad. When I say "naughty" some of the words are...Poop, Meanie, Dumb, Butt, etc.. Nothing too major, yet words we are trying to discourage Levi from saying. When Levi does say one of those "naughty" words to someone we tell him he can't call people names. So now whenever he hears someone say a "naughty" word he says, "you called names".

Yesterday Ethan, Levi, and I are in the grocery store. I don't even remember how it all exactly happened, however I said something like this to Ethan..."but we are going to get this one instead..." Right away Levi starts saying "you called names...you called names". So I say I did not and he says..."you said butt!"

Lovely. Yes, how do you even begin to explain the differences between but and butt to an almost 3 year old? Meanwhile Ethan is just laughing and giggling away!! :)

December 2010

Wow! Where do we even begin...December flew bye and here we are in January!! We had a wonderful Holiday season. We always love the extra time with family and friends. The boys kept busy over Christmas break building Legos, shooting hoops, and playing with their new Nerf guns! Kevin was able to take some time off and I was able to go along with my sister and mom to do wedding stuff. As always we were sad to take our tree down, but it really needed to go! This year was by far the worst year for pine needles. We had a great time ringing in the New Year with friends and family. We are truly looking forward to this coming year. We already have so many exciting things planned...my sister's Wedding in August, special Anniversaries and Birthdays, Vacations, Soccer Games, School Activities, and the list goes on! But before we start posting all the exciting things of 2011,
enjoy some pictures of what we were up to last month...

Sharing...

Today we were at the Children's Museum and Levi was doing a great job with sharing toys. Each time he would share something with another child he would then walk up to me and say...
"That's my friend!"
